Step inside, and you’re greeted by a calm modern sanctuary where polished concrete floors meet dark kitchen cabinets, enhanced by the efficiency of an induction cooktop and the classic charm of traditional tap and sink fixtures.

When Halana and Phap—approached us, they had a clear idea of what they wanted: a home that would be both functional and aesthetic, One that would embrace and showcase modern design elements, blended with the traditional style that we are renowned for.

Located in the picturesque suburb of Maribyrnong, Victoria, this custom single-storey Tremont home is a true representation of their vision.

Upon entry, what catches the eye is the hallway adorned with a convenient mud seat—perfect for quick pit stops while keeping the space clutter-free. Velux Roof windows bring in natural light, and the space has a sense of calm. Raked ceilings throughout the main living area create an expansive atmosphere, capturing the essence of modern-day luxury living.

The polished concrete flooring was a special request on this build, and it doesn’t just add a contemporary touch; it’s a practical choice that’s as durable as it is chic. This pairs perfectly with the dark kitchen cabinets that the owners selected, which give the space a luxurious feel. The induction cooktop is a nod to efficiency, blending seamlessly into the culinary area, where the extended island bench has had a clever built-in dining area created for the ultimate in-home restaurant feel. The traditional tap and sink add a sentimental touch, contrasting with the more modern elements yet fitting in effortlessly.
